Enigmaを聴いている。あまり歌詞の内容を気にしないで聴いていたが、この”The Rivers of Belief”は気にして聴いてみた。

ここ部分はヘーゲルの弁証法の論法で「在」と「定在」の違いの説明のようで面白い。

ここの”Belief”は「信念」というより「信仰」の意味だと思う。

ここは特に指摘することはない。
And when the Lamb opened the seventh seal Silence covered the sky
ここは新約聖書「ヨハネの黙示録」からの引用である。聖書日本語訳（p.461）には
「小羊が第七の封印を開いたとき、天は半時間ほど沈黙に包まれた。」

結論である。
こうしてみると信仰に戻ることで平安な日に戻れるとし、いつの日かそうなることを約束している。そんな内容である。曲の全体的な印象とかなり違った歌詞だなと思う。
